Westland District Council has reviewed the structure of its Council Controlled Organisations (CCO) over the past 18 months. As a result, the Council proposes to amalgamate Westland Holdings Ltd and Destination Westland. Amalgamation will reduce compliance and administration costs, and give more transparency to the CCO operations.
Under the proposal, Council will have two CCOs – Westroads Ltd and Destination Westland Ltd. These two organisations will be overseen by a committee of the full council and an independent chairperson.
The public is invited to comment on the proposal. Information and the submission form is available on our website until 11 April 2024. Council’s final decision on the structure will be made at the Council meeting on 18 April 2024.
