Proposed Easter Sunday Shop Trading Policy 2026

Have your say

As a ratepayer, resident or interested party, you are invited to make a submission on the Westland District Council proposed Easter Sunday Shop Trading Policy 2026.

The proposed policy would enable all shops to trade throughout Westland district on Easter Sunday, when they would otherwise have to close. This process provides an opportunity for people to have their say on the proposed policy.

Copies of the Policy are available here or at the Council Office, 36 Weld Street, Hokitika. Written submissions close on March 3, 2026 at 5pm.
