You can request rubbish or recycling bins by completing this online form or by visiting the council offices.

Please note, there is a maximum of 2 sets of bins allowed per property.

Sorting your rubbish and recycling

Westland District Council provides a separate kerbside rubbish and recycling bin for each property in Kumara, Hokitika and Ross, and connecting rural roads.

Transfer stations

Transfer stations are managed on our behalf by Envirowaste in Northern Westland and South Westland Rubbish Removal in South Westland.
